Watching your home take shape is one of
the most exciting parts of purchasing a
new home. Alpha Home Builders On-site
Builder and construction team work
together to schedule subcontractors
efficiently. At times you may notice a
great deal of work going on at once:
carpenters, electricians and many others
may be busy on your home. At other times
there is little observable activity,
such as during drywall and taping. If
you have questions, speak with your
sales consultant. Regardless of activity
you can see, important time-sensitive
activities do occur throughout the
construction process.
Pre-Construction Meeting & Walks
Typically once your home site is
permitted and staked, your sales
consultant will schedule an appointment
for you with the onsite construction
builder to walk the home site and
discuss construction and answer any
preliminary questions.
Estimated
Completion Date In the Sales
Contract, you will find an estimated
completion date. This date refers to the
date that your new home should be ready
for occupancy. This date is our best
estimate. In other words, we have
anticipated that all activities will
flow smoothly without interruption
and/or delays. There are many factors
that influence the completion of your
new home, such as; weather, material
deliveries, scheduling conflicts,
inspection delays; therefore, the
estimate completion date is an estimate
and not a firm commitment. Once the
construction reaches sheetrock/drywall,
a more definitive date for completion
will be set, and closing will be
scheduled by the sales consultant.
Homebuyer
Orientation A homebuyer
orientation of your new home will take
place once the home has been completed
just prior to closing. Your sales
consultant will schedule an appointment
for you to meet with the onsite builder
in your new home, approximately seven to
ten days prior to closing. On that day,
you can expect to spend approximately
one to two hours with your builder,
inspecting your new home. They will
demonstrate its features, and explain
the warranty program and guidebook for
your one year warranty. The builder will
schedule your final walk through for the
day of or day before closing. After this
time you should start making calls to
arrange for the utilities to be
transferred into your name and plan for
your move. Your sales consultant will
provide you with a list of utility
contacts for your convenience.
